Shouts and curse words are fired around the yard, while my manic laughter ricochets off every surface. I see Pete on his knees in front of a man flanked by all three assholes. Pulling out the pin of the grenade I toss it under another car, and sprint to the other side of the yard, out of sight.

“It’s not possible!” the man yells. My manic laughter goes into overdrive at his words, sending a spike of adrenaline through my system.

Chaos erupts all around as members run in different directions to avoid the debris from the cars that just exploded everywhere, scattering like cowards as they run. Checking I have everything I need, I step out of my hiding spot with my head held high. A sadistic grin splits across my face, as I laugh at the fear on the bastards’ faces. Some of the crew freeze, looking like they’ve just seen a ghost. I chuckle and head in the direction of the three stooges and big papa.

“Pretty Bird?” Kane’s expression is haunted.

“Stand up, Pete.” Keeping my eyes on the men in front of me I watch for any twitch that will give them away.

“Back the fuck off, Ninja Turtle!” I seethe, as the fucker who looks like a cat stole his slice of pizza takes a step to grab hold of Pete. His eyes widen at the Glock I have aimed in his direction. Not just a pretty face, don’t you know?

Slowly, Pete manages to get his feet underneath him and make his way to my side. The look he gives me is one of a father chastising their child.

“Not one crew member moves a muscle. Got it!” I bellow into the air so none of these idiots decides to play hero. I’d fucking blow their heads off if they did. Moving my aim from Ninja Turtle, I aim at the head of the man in front of me. Gasps echo around me, and the fear on the three stooges’ faces has me laughing again.

“Tell them, Kane! I missed once. I won’t miss this time.”

“Do as she says,” he orders the men.

“Hellion. This isn’t who you are!” Marcus pleads with me.

“You don’t know me, Marcus, just like I don’t know you. But I do now, I’ve seen who you all really are.”

Training my gaze on the main man himself I can’t help the look of triumph at the uncertainty on his face.

“You like my song, old man?” I snicker at the pathetic look on his face.

“Who the fuck are you, girl?” he spits in my direction.

“Aww. Don’t get brave now. Answer the question.”

“Pretty Bird, please.”

“Ugh! Shut your damn mouth, Kane.” I spin, one gun aimed at their dad, another firing a shot into the chest of the crew member that tried to sneak up on me. He stumbles on the spot, and the color drains from his face as he smashes into the ground.

“Reika, he didn’t do shit!” Liam screams at me from his position.

“Shut up! This is between me and him.
